NEWS > New Album Officially Announced

26 June, 2009

All Angels' new album, titled 'Fly Away', was today officially announced alongside a release date and some tantalising background information about the recording and what it will mean for the girls' futures.

'Fly Away' marks the group's departure from purely classical roots, and will bring their flawless sonorities to songs that epitomise America inspired by their recent visit. The inspiration for Fly Away came when All Angels were struck by the impact of the American Presidential Campaign last year. The girls were touched by the global optimism Obama brought and were delighted when their record label agreed to record an album that allowed them to delve deeper into the country's past. They feel that the album reflects the 'hope' that came with Barack Obama's election.

The album contains a huge variety of songs including interpretations of Norah Jones, Gershwin and even Elvis Presley. Add to that a beautiful original composition by the up-and-coming Eric Whitacre, 'Sleep' and this recording is a truly diverse representation of America's greatest songs.
